Music Review
“Everyday We Die” is an album by Datin and C4 Crotona which was released on October 4th, 2024. It was produced by Thvnos and has other collaborations such as Monster Tarver, and Selah the Corner. This album discusses the realistic scenario of heaven and hell once we die, the addictions that people deal with, the escape from temptations, the impact that they have as skilled rappers within the rap genre, and how great they are with God against the spiritual warfares of the evil one.
The beats are filled with well placed samples; conscious elements, and mostly an east coast style (with some boom bap sounds). I think the vibes of the beats go along very well with their conscious lyrics. It was useful because Datin and the collaborated rappers had a lot of personal viewpoints to share on these songs. Based on their lyrics you can tell that they are passionately seeking God but are aware of the things they’ve learned from their sinful mistakes.
To me it’s always good to hear messages about overcoming struggles from people who are in the spotlight. It shows the fans that the artists are also human with flaws. The other side of that though is that by the grace of God you hear the pronounced victory and help from God to overcome trials and tribulations.
